A metal headband can be decorated and used as your bridesmaids’ hair accessories. You can create your headbands using only a few materials and without any special crafting skills. Follow these tips to create beautiful headbands you can offer to your bridesmaids or your flower girls.
What you need:
metal headbands
chain of rhinestones
ribbon/cord/wire
glue
scissors
First you need to buy a pack of metal headbands. Except for the silver color, these headbands also come in gold and black shades. The rhinestones are sold in chains in a variety of colors.
Cut out the desired length of the rhinestone chain and with a glue stick it along the headband.
Don’t worry if the glue doesn’t go to the whole chain as the next step is going to secure it on the headband.
Then, pick a silk ribbon or a suede cord and wrap it around the headband between the rhinestones. Make sure to tie the edge of the ribbon before you start. When you have covered the chain of rhinestones, cut the ribbon and tie the other edge.
Alternatively, you can secure the rhinestones chain with a thin piece of wire. Work with it as you would do with the ribbon.
A headband of this style could also serve as a bridal headband for a romantic bride or you can wear it on special occasions.
