When you plan your wedding, it’s a good idea to make a checklist of things you need to do before the big day. There’s so much to do that it’s easy for a few things to fall between the cracks and get completely forgotten. That could be those little chocolates that you wanted on the table at the reception. Or, you might even forget to invite someone. That can be quite awkward, particularly if they were the only one left off the list. With that in mind, here are some of the most common details people forget about for their wedding.
Flower Girls
We’re sure you’ll remember to pick out your wedding dress, hopefully! You’ll definitely at least think briefly about what your bridesmaids are going to wear. Either to get them back for the ugly outfit that they stuck you into for their weddings. Or, to make sure that they look perfect on your wedding day. But will you remember the flower girl? A lot of people completely forget to look at beautiful flower girl dresses. After all, this is the smallest member of your wedding party. But you should still spend some time making sure that they look adorable like a little cherub. You probably think that they’re not as important as other people in the wedding group. But you’ll be surprised when the room goes silent, except for the occasional aw as she walks down the aisle.
Backups
You should always have backups for your wedding day plans. One of the biggest things that you’ll need to have a backup for is the wedding convoy. You’ve probably arranged a limo or a car to take you from your home to the chapel. But, what if the service has an issue. Or, it’s simply not running at all. That’s a problem, and it could leave you late for your wedding day. To avoid this, make sure that you have a backup service on call ready to pick you up at a moment’s notice. Even, if that’s just a taxi waiting around the corner. It’s certainly better than being late.
Diet
Do you need to diet for your wedding? Most people do, particularly brides. They tend to buy dresses that are just a couple sizes too small. They do this because they want to look perfect on their wedding day. The problem is that they then forget to diet, and when the big day arrives, that expensive dress doesn’t fit. It’s why some brides end up having thrown together dresses for their big day. They stand out, but not in the way you want to.
Speeches
Finally, the speeches aren’t your job to remember. But it’s still worth reminding the people who are responsible for saying some nice words about you. Otherwise, you might find that they have to wing it. This can be both awkward and embarrassing and make your reception memorable for all the wrong reasons. You may like to encourage those speaking to read their speeches to them for the wedding. You don’t have to alter what they say. But it’s best to be prepared for some shocking moments.
