When you’re getting ready for your wedding, things can be a little hectic and stressful to say the least. It’s hard to relax, but there are ways and means of letting yourself go before the big day. A calm bride is a happy bride, and you need to put the focus onto yourself rather than everything around you for a little while.
Pamper Evening
You don’t have to break the budget to get yourself feeling good. Inviting over your bridesmaids or close friends for a bit of a pamper evening between yourselves can be all you need to get you back on track. Break out the nail varnishes, slap on the face masks and open a bottle of bubbly or two. It’s a great chance to catch up with each other before your wedding day arrives, and certain things can even be rounded off such as the logistic of how the bridesmaids are getting to the venue on the day.
Spa Day
If you do feel like you want to spend a little extra to get the level of pampering that you deserve, why not consider booking a day at a spa? Getting yourself a full body massage can be a fantastic way to relieve any stresses that you are carrying around with you – and when you’re planning such an enormous day, these stresses can soon add up. It’s not a bad thing to want a bit of ‘me’ time before an event that everyone traditionally things is about the bride and groom; there is so much more thought that goes into weddings which is more centered around the guests, so there’s no harm in taking a day to yourself which is truly just about you – it’s not selfish at all.
Pedicures and Manicures
Taking a day to get pedicures and manicures in place ready for your wedding can be relaxing in itself. This needs to be done a couple of days before you get hitched, to save your nails from growing out too much. If you haven’t had your nails done before and are thinking of getting extensions (a life saver for the nail biters out there), have them done a couple of weeks before the wedding so that you’re used to getting around with them. Having to get yourself in and out of a dress as well as doing simple tasks like using a smartphone or typing can become much harder if you’re not used to having nails in the way.
Hair Styling
In the lead up to your wedding, if you are booked in with a hair stylist to do you up on the day, they usually insist on having a hair trial just to see if you are happy with what they are doing and/or want to make any changes. Use this time as a chance to relax and let somebody transform your hair into something beautiful. It’s such a luxury way to be pampered that you’ll be wanting somebody to do it to you every weekend!
